I just started year 2 as a noob what do i do?

For skull caverns runs, i recommend trading jades for staircases at the desert trader, going on a super lucky day at 6am using a totem, spamming staircases after you collected them enough, and getting down to at least like floor 400 (so save the jades up using crystalariums). ensure to bring ALOT of bombs, food, triple shot espresso's, and maybe even magic rock candy if ur feeling spicy. to ensure u maximise your time in the caves, i recommend upgrading your pickaxe to iridium quality, and implementing animation canceling. (you can use an autohotkey script to do that for you), as well as pausing the game while going down staircases to pause the time that wastes when entering and exiting the staircase animation, to do that click e or esc as soon as you are about to enter the floor below.

Thanks for the tips, they are run savers. I just got some questions. I already have my greenhouse full of starfruit. Is it worth switching? Because all the rankings I see, they are basically equal. Also, I don’t even know about what weapons forging is. I have a faint idea, but all the tutorials I watched are for early game, because that’s the part that usually made me want to restart. I didn’t think about the mid to late game. I think I might be able to get all of this stuff done before year 2, though. I’m pretty confident, just hope that there isn’t anything else I should be worrying about now.
