Success! I used some extra denim to extend the pocket flap to make room for my Katatonia patch and maintain pocket functionality. Surprised with the good results cause I kinda winged it

Anyone know how to sew a patch here (without the patch getting bent to hell or something) while keeping the pocket functionality? I like putting my hands in my pockets but this Katatonia patch is a near-perfect fit

Just got my first car, so I'm new to this. I tried my best to clean this area, but I think I wiped up some grease/oil that I wasn't supposed to (A) and the thing just seems rusty (B,C). This image is from after I attempted to clean it. What should I do?
