Consistent poor sleep and recovery
Does anyone else suffer with consistently poor recovery no matter what you do in a day?
Not to mention my sleep goal is 9+ hours and that’s just not possible; I wake up at 5am, I’d need to be in bed by 7pm to hit my sleep goal so every single day I get hit with this demotivating swathe of yellows and reds. All the more frustrating when my partner - with terrible sleep hygiene - wakes up day after day with 100% recovery and sleep, with absolutely no effort to achieve so.
Starting to question whether to let Whoop expire and stop tracking recovery at all, since this just seems to be my baseline!
Any similar experiences or advice?
Edit: another thing I wonder is how much should I listen to the strain recommendation based on these poor recoveries? I’m relatively new to CrossFit but typically a session is never less than 11 strain and with such poor recovery, it’s almost impossible to complete a class and stay within strain targets - leading to a cycle of poor recovery. Should I take some time out to get in the green and then junk back in, or just push through doing what I’m doing and hope it all sorts itself out?
