Don't want my first vape to suck

Hey, I'd like to get a portable dhv but don't know what. I had been looking at the pax but thought asking here just in case there's something I wouldn't even know to look for.

I'd like something portable that'd be really only used by me and maybe my roommate occasionally. Ideally less than $200 but $300 is the absolute limit. I'm not sure whether on-demand or session would work better for me. It'd be for daily use after work/before bed 90% of the time. In the US.

Simply put I'd like something that kinda just works without too much fiddling and will last a good while.

Edit: Thank you all so much for your help! After seeing the deal on element vapes for the solo 3 I went ahead and ordered one. All the other suggestions were very interesting as well, and I'm sure I'll try a dynavap at some point but for now this looks like it will do even more than I need for the right price.
