Life in the UK test experience
Currently applying for settlement on the 5 year spousal route.
I had my Life in the UK test today. I strictly stuck to practice tests over the last few months.
The actual test took me about 5 or so minutes. We were herded in. Showed our phones were off. I booked with my expired BRP, which was accepted but they also took my DL for signature comparison. After putting everything but BRP in my locker, I went through security. Scan wand. But also had to pull up my legging pantlegs and pull down top of socks. Lift my sneakers to examine bottom of shoes. I was in a Tee and leggings so probably helped not having anywhere to hide anything. Also checked my ears.
They did this again after I entered the actual testing room. Test was much more basic than many of the practice tests. Patron Saint of Scotland. Saint of Wales. When was the last successful invasion on England. When is Christmas.
Had results via email before I could get on the lift. Passed
Most stressful event ended up discovering a parking meter that wouldn’t accept payment and the pay by phone parking wouldn’t accept my card. Prob have a hefty parking ticket coming…
