1099 rates

Hi everyone. Therapist here with over 20 years experience. Moving and interview for a job in new state. Offered $60 hour as a 1099... why do I feel so taken advantage of and what should I counter? I have not interviewed for jobs ever in this field. I landed my first one after internship in 2001 at a 60/40 split. Also I specialize and am certified in IFS. Should I negotiate for a higher rate or keep looking? I was just so excited that it was an actual agency and not a tech platform
