General Chinese dating /culture advice

I recently got a job that might send me to China for work if I want. And I potentially might end up living there for a while depending on what my work needs. I know (or at least feel) that this subreddit is mainly about getting laid. To clarify, I’ve never really been a hookup guy. I’m not self conscious about my size, and when I hookup It’s on pretty special occasions if I feel a genuine connection. I grew up in a very religious family in the Mormon religion and later on decided it wasn’t for me. I’ve never had a problem pulling either though. I’m 6 feet tall, in shape, and I would consider myself above average on looks. With all this being said, I know Chinese women tend to be more traditional and I like that. I just don’t like the hookup culture here in America. So I would be open to potentially dating internationally. Since I’ve known I might head there for work I’ve decided to pick up mandarin. I would like to at least be able to hold a normal conversation. I don’t want to step on toes or be disrespectful to their culture. Is there any advice yall can give me? Things to look out for? Im open to any advice and constructive criticism too.
