What is going on

So I have a whitetail drink zone that has 6 total deer drinking. When I first discovered it, there was 3 males and 3 females. I took out the 2 bigger deer and came back awhile later. The drink zone now has 5 females and the 1 male that I didn’t kill earlier. Where did my 2 other bucks go?! Why did females replace my 2 males, i thought that didn’t happen.
