Any shows with a hardworking, exceedingly kind character?

Nothing new in the description, just context: I'm somebody who has been the most productive and successful when pretending to be a different character from a show I was obsessed with (e.g. I changed into a kind, funny person by being Pinkie Pie, and I got through my last year of my MS degree by being Sheldon Cooper.)

Anyway, now I need a job. In my field, the best way to get a job is by just spamming a bunch of quality job applications. I hope to get in around 100 during the holidays, but I have zero motivation.

Does anyone have a show I can become obsessed with that has a character that like. Can Get A Job? Without being such an asshole that it threatens my current job where I work with children?
