Less than one month out, huge estimate quoted.

Hello everyone. I've been reccommended here from r/childfree. I am scheduled to have a bisalp on March 3rd. I have reached out to have an estimate done. My responsibility would be nearly $11,000 after insurance. The total being $26,000. I do not qualify for financial aid. Doing research in this sub I see how people are able get this bill down to something reasonable of even nothing at all. It would ruin my life to pay that much over 3 years but it even that much would be worth it to me to be sterilized. I'm asking how I begin the process. What do the codes mean? Who do I ask for at my insurance? I'm overwhelmed with information here. I know that's how they trick people into paying these ridiculous fees. They make you pay out of fear of understanding the system and jargon. My plan is UMR. My provider is in network. It's my parents insurance and I'll get kicked off in 6 months. I don't know what the next step to take is. I am seeking guidance here. Any and all help is appreciated.
