Is this reasonable?

Son is new to snowboarding and has been using rentals. My experience is limited to skiing, but I know that I improved quickly when I used the same skis repeatedly. I felt like I didn’t have to relearn how my equipment felt every time I went out. I assume that is the same for snowboarding.

I’d like to get him something relatively affordable so that he can learn the ropes and then maybe upgrade to a nicer board in a year or two when he feels more comfortable knowing what he wants.

Does this look like a reasonable first board for a new snowboarder? He is 6’1” and 170 pounds. he has been renting 155 length when we go to the snow.
