What was your big "moment" in skyrim?

What was the part of skyrim that, when it happened, you fell in love with the game?

I remember christmas 2011, I was 13 years old, and I got an xbox 360 along with kinect adventures, batman arkham city, mass effect 2, dead space 2, and skyrim. Now, the main reason I got a 360 was for the kinect. I figured that's all I was gonna be playing, it's like the wii but better ... so I plaed that for all of 30 minutes before never touching the kinect again. I tried out my other games but didn't really bother with skyrim. It just seemed boring. It was an "old persons game" I told myself. It was late, around 8 pm and I finally decided to give it a try.

Jump to 6 hours later, it's 2 am and ... I'm still playing. I heard about a town called winterhold, got a quest for it to learn more about the college, and was walking there. In the snow a guy ran up to me and said "Hey these guards are chasing me, take this item." And then I took it and I killed him and took everything off of his body. And in that moment I realized, my little pre-teen brain fired it's first critical thinking neurons. "I didn't have to kill that guy but the game gave me choice anyways, the game is the embodiment of free will and in the game I can do things I would never do in the real world without any real consequences." I proceeded to take all my guys clothes off before getting mauled by a bear. And then I reloaded and just looked around at the snowy night. The multicolored lights in the sky illuminating my dark living room. And in that exact moment I realized, that was the best game I had played up to that point.
