The Second SP Comic CANCELLED???
It's been a year since we had any updates on a second SP comic.
In fact, all we got was a short mention that the second comic should be out this year in 2025 (presumably in fall like the first comic) in an interview he gave and confirmation, not from Landy but from one of the artists working on the first comic, that they would be seeking new talent for the next one.
"Good big queue, bodes well for the book. They’ll be doing another yay! with a different artist! boo! [...]
Derek and Nick and team are keen to see as many different artists interpret that world as possible, so hopefully the next person will be able to turn in artwork very different to me [...]"
There hasn't been an official announcement or update or even an acknowledgement from Landy that the second comic is going to happen since, and that was over a year ago.
So, I guess the first comic sold so badly they quietly cancelled the second one??
Since it's Landy there is still a chance they are just horribly late again (as he was with the merch store). That could be for multiple reasons like the artists they want currently not being available/busy with other work, but since Landy is as transparent as a brick wall, we just don't know. But the fact that he ignored me when I asked him about it on X (formerly Twitter) doesn't make me hopeful.
