Shotgun 650 PDA - Help

Hi, I got a call from RE showroom that a bike has been allocated against my booking and they asked me to come and make the payment. I went and asked to see the vehicle that is allotted. Everything was nice and shiny except the rear fender and tyre aligmnet is not centred.

I had an electra 350 twinspark and it had the same issue and it bugged me every time I looked at it. I told the engineer who would do the PDA before delivery to take care of it. I know for sure the RE service center wouldn't do anything about this.

It is not a cheap purchase and wanting the bike to be visually perfect before delivery isn't too much to ask for. How do I handle this?

Update [15/05/2024]: I visited the showroom again and the representative had 3 vehicles and I chose one of the bikes that was alright.

I urge first time buyers to ask to see the bike before making the payment or at least before the invoice is raised. This way you can inspect and be sure of the vehicle. Once the vehicle is registered, it becomes your problem to fight and get the issues corrected. The representative was telling that I was the only one doing this in a very long time. (I would like to consider that I had the luxury to have options and choose after inspection)

Thanks to the helpful comments. Happy riding!
