Low End Performance Reduction

I own a interceptor BS6. i recently installed powerage slipons as i was not very much pleased with the stock exhaust sound and also it's heavyweight.I observed that the engine is performing worse than stock in low rpm range.its a little bit sluggish at first. what can i do now to restore the original performance. would adding anything else like adding an aftermarket airfilter make things better from here?
