Working in conservation is about to get so depressing

Joined the work force during the last four years doing resource management. I remember spending college hearing about how Trump allowed oil drilling in arctic wildlife refuges and i was so disgustingly optimistic that i thought people would care enough about the environment that this wouldn’t be at risk of happening again.

I don’t know how I’m going to survive in this field if i have to watch our air and our water and our wildlife decline for profit while libs ignore it to complain about the same culture war shit that’s been going on for eternity.

I just wish we could treat our planet with respect :(
