power out

on sunday, a tree branch fell onto our electricity line. we called the emergency line for our electric company and they sent someone. they told us we have to get an electrician to upgrade our circuit board. we hired an electrician (this took two days), got inspected by the city (third day) and now we're just waiting for our electricity to be reconnected (its been two days of waiting) all of this has happened in Texas heat. we're so tired of calling the company just to hear the same thing, "you have to wait 2-3 days for a reconnection" why is this not considered an emergency? today it was 104F, it's so unbearable to be in this heat!!! we have no one to go to and no money for a hotel so we've been in the heat for five days. atp i'd rather sleep outside than in our house
