Morning routine? Breakfast or walk first?
The short question:
How does your morning routine look like? Do you wake up and feed the pups and then walk or the other way around? Does it even matter?
My context:
I'm dreaming of the day (which will soon come) I'll be able to walk my puppy. He is a 12 weeks old Cavalier and we live in an apartment. Due to his vaccinations and high risk of parvo in our area, our vet forbid us to take him out for another freaking 4 weeks. So we are stuck in the house, which is ok, but not ideal since he has lots and lots of energy. Good thing is that we have a huge terrace, but not many interesting stuff to sniff on.
I am considering to get a second hand baby stroller to walk him in it, but not sure if it's worth it for 4 weeks.
Anyway, since I'm literraly dreaming of the day we're gonna walk together, I am confused on how to shift his morning routine regarding food. Here is how our routine looks like now:
- Puppy wakes up in his crate at 7.30am.
- My partner takes him out for pee and poop and then goes to his desk to work
- Puppy sleeps in with me in bed until 8.30-9.00
- Potty outside at 9
- at 9.10 he gets his breakfast, while I get dressed for work
- play & train until 10 and then I leave
Any inshights?
