I love my Prius in the snow

This is simply an appreciation post for the Prius brand and hopefully gives drivers confidence around driving in the snow. 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-In hybrid, 110k miles. I recently moved out to Central Oregon where they get snow in the winters. I wasn’t sure what the best plan was for my Prius, I got tons of mixed reviewed as to whether it could handle snow out here.

Lemme tell ya, I threw some studded snow tires on this thing and it’s a beast. I still get over 40 mpg. While I’m seeing trucks and SUVs sliding all over the road, this thing has yet to lose traction.

The only foreseeable issue in the future is if snow gets extremely deep — but I live near roads that are regularly driven over so would just need to shovel out of my driveway. I also haven’t tested this in extremely hilly areas. But from what I’m experiencing, this thing is a beast.
