Birds of Paradise curling

Hi all! Long post: Today I noticed the leaves on my BOP were starting to curl inward, even the new leaf that’s popping up that previously was not curling as much. She has seemed very happy in her spot for the past 6+ months now. She usually sits very close to a northwest facing window but requires SO much water. Her soil dries out very quickly (she is in a tropical chunky mix so I know they dry out faster) but I’m having to water her almost every 2-3 days even after I changed her soil to make sure it was good soil. I did clean her leaves maybe 4-5 days ago when I saw a lot of dust on them. I inspect my plants daily and noticed the leaves curling today. What could be causing the curling? What should I do? She also has two very old sunburnt leaves from being outside last summer, should I chop them off?
