Question about solfeggietto fingering

This is probably a 'dumb' question but I have no one else to run this by. So in the beginning of this piece, everyone I see playing this is always hitting the first note with their right hand. I have found it feels a lot more comfortable, natural and convenient for me to just use my 3rd finger of the left hand. I can still audibly bring out the first note doing this. Is it somehow 'wrong' for me to use my LH 3rd finger?
