2024 Kicker Rankings
I took the average success rate of FG attempts from each distance over the last 3 years to get an expected success rate for each kick this season. (Example: a 45-yard attempt is good 78% of the time since 2022. So when a kicker attempts a 45-yard field goal, it has an expectation of 77% x 3 = 2.31 points. If he makes the kick, it is worth 0.69 points above expectation. If he misses, it is worth 2.31 points below expectation.)
I summed these kicks up for all kickers this year and also did the same thing for extra point attempts (95.4% success since 2022).
I did this 7 weeks ago. Since then; Nick Folk, Wil Lutz, Cameron Dicker and Jason Sanders climbed the rankings. While Jake Moody had a bad finish to the season.
