How Many Great Playmaking Point Guards Are Actually Available for the Celtics to Trade For?
Thinking about the how Celtics are commonly said to need a player that can set up the rest of the team to make the game easier, without dominating the ball and being a ddecent shooting threat since they currently rely on a diet of tough shots and slashing.
But thinking about it, not sure how many players you can find like that in the NBA rn, especially players that are decently young and realistically tradeable. Off the top of my head, you have Rubio, Brogdon and maybe Devonte Graham as the possible difference making targets
The likes of Conley, Dragic, Wall and Rondo are too old or banged up to confidently trade for, and CP3, Lonzo, Lowry and especially Fox, Doncic and Trae are not gonna be gained without giving up a steep price.
Am I missing a clear player for the Celtics to target, or have they pigeonholed themselves too much during the Kyrie-Kemba contending years to find a perfect fit?
