Kevin Durant calls out 'loyalty' double standard after Luka Dončić trade

To Kevin Durant, a superstar who has been traded and received criticism for his free-agent decisions in the past, tonight's Luka Dončić-Anthony Davis blockbuster trade was revealing.

"Players are held to a different standard of loyalty and commitment to a program, but the organizations don't get held to that same standard from the outside world, whether it's from the media members or fans," Durant said after the Suns' 127-108 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers Saturday. "We all should be held to that same standard."

Durant has spoken out about this topic many times since he left the Oklahoma City Thunder to sign with the Golden State Warriors in the summer of 2016.

"(Now), every other team might get the confidence to say ‘Fuck it, I’ll trade a few of my top players if this isn’t working,’" he said.

"I’m still shocked."
