Contemplating

Hello dokies, My original plan was to pursue medicine this incoming August (2024). I was earning online but it turns out to be a scammed (not that it matters). I’m planning to earn before going to med school to lessen the burden of my parents. Should I take a year gap?, and take a job for a year. Or proceed to my original plan. But my parents are very supportive to me which is why I feel guilty. Any insights?
