First 7 days in - impossible to sleep - any similar experiences? Would you stop taking it?

As the title says I'm now 7 days into Lexapro, my first ever SSRI. I've gotten maybe 2hrs of sleep a night since starting it and it's honestly making me go insane. I know this can be normal but almost no sleep for a week is torture

I have scheduled a follow up with a doctor (no family doctor and I'm in Canada so easier said than done) but I'm wondering if others have had the same experience. I'm thinking of just not taking it today with hopes that I sleep tonight. But not sure if that's a bad idea
