Can I sell Pokemon Cross-Stitch designs?

Hello Reddit! First time posting anything so sorry in advance for any formatting mistakes.

I'm attempting to make supplementary income by selling cross-stitch patterns I've made, my concern is the Pokémon ones. I'm making them based off the sprites for Pokémon (think Pokedex sprites like the ones in Gen 3 or 4) but I don't know if this would constitute as copyright infringement? I'm still taking the time to make the patterns myself, but I'm not sure that alone means I can sell it. Would it be enough to simply put a disclaimer saying I in no way own Pokémon?

Sorry if this is a silly question, I've never had to sell something I've made before, especially not online!

Edit: I forgot to put location. I live in TX, USA and plan on selling on Etsy, Ravelry, etc.
