Domestic Violence

Hello everyone, My wife had a dv 3rd over 24 years ago and now it showed up in her background check recently for her employment. She pleaded the 5th. The judge told her is she took anger management classes that the charge would be off her record. She did complete the classes and there on after we thought her record would be clean. How do we go from here? We both don't have a clue where to start, we have moved +4 hours away. We are trying to avoid using expunged at the moment, that itself is a pretty penny. Thanks y'all.
