Guild help

Hey new to the game been playing for a week or so. Can't seem to get anyone in my guild besides one player I know in person. Any help tips or tricks? I'm hitting invite to guild on pretty much anyone at this point. I'm more just trying to see if I'm doing something wrong. I'll also post in the recruitment subreddit too.
