What is ragging like in 2022?
So, I’m joining med school this year and as the first fay approaches I’m getting deathly afraid of ragging. I may be thinking of it too much but I don’t know what to expect. Every time I ask my older relatives and cousins about it (none of them have been to medical school), they always so that it’s lighht and doesn’t really matter.
I don’t know, I’m really anxious, really nervous about talking to new people and take things to heart really quickly. What exactly happens? People on youtube say different things from it’s just an introduction to actual physical abusement. The only thing that has been clear to me is that sexual harrasment has been stopped. Everyone also talks about a senior-junior relationship which is started of by ragging.
I guess my question is, does ragging happen (pretty sure it does), how severe is it and how long does it last (a few weeks like my dad says or for the entire course)?
Thanks guys.
