To all my fellow colleagues!!
This post is not for those who have already secured a good rank and fufilled their dream .. Kudos to yours hard work guys.. congratulations to you all!! But I am more concerned about all of my colleagues who haven't been up to their own expectations in this exam..
About me - I have given NEET UG and state CET Couldn't make it to MBBS in first attempt as I couldn't study after loss of my father. I have given NEET PG 2019/2021/2022 Currently a second year soon to be third year resident when this batch will be joining. I am pursuing anaesthesiology!!
I will try not to preach about success and failure but will just share few things I have seen in last 12-13 years of my life in medworld
Failures are subjective - People often feel ki 1k/2k/10k rank people will be happy and 15k/20k/30k will be sad... I have seen toppers compromising branches and then getting sad... I have seen people getting sad in their dream branch and institute... I have seen people leaving dream branch abd college.. Hence ---- Before taking branch and institute please please be sure that you want to do this... It takes lot of courage to reverse the choices again!
Happyness- This notion of linking happyness to rank and result is really misleading... I have cried for days on my neet 19 rank when I had prepared my ass off whole internship and rank was 30k... I have cried for months when I saw my neet 21 rank 27k and then getting nothing substantial of my choice... But noww after lot of courage I chose to stay happy and took up anaesthesiology in neet 22 when my rank was 15-20k
Know your potential - Working during covid - gave me a confidence to work in ICUs / know and operate ventilators and also some life saving skills and knowledge of drugs... The best branch at my given rank was anaesthesiology and I took it up.. Please please talk to yourself/ know yourself and then take up the branch
Life is beyond NEET PG - Life is beyond any exam /rank/ results Please do not forget your hobbies/ Go on treks/ take road trips /listen good music/eat tasty food/go on dates/meet your life partner It's you who has to be the driver of your life not neet pg rank
Practical suggestion-
Third or more attempt>> choose happyness take up the seat
Second attempt with rank <15k - choose happyness and take up the seat
Second attempt with rank not making you happy Choose hussle only if you feel you have the energy
To those who are in tears after the result - Guys please do not let this rank define who you are.... remember that bright kid in school..You have to bring that energy back... whatever you choose be happy with your choices.. Life will definitely reward you in both scenarios..
3 years ago I would not have believed on this post but please believe me life /bhagwanji /universe whatever you say won't keep you unhappy for so long...just keep on working!!
