Bike rack?

Hi all, I have a 2017 Honda Fit and am trying to figure out a bike rack that can be used for a normal bike (not an e-bike). I bought a rack that has hooks on the upper, side, and lower parts of the trunk but it seems like the upper hooks would need to rest on a bit of plastic that sticks out from the back of the car rather than the frame itself. This part doesn't feel strong enough to hold the rack without getting damaged. Any suggestions? What racks have worked for you?
