loop switcher with stereo?

currently using a hotone patch kommander. four loops, no stereo as far as i can tell. am thinking of getting a roland jc, to take advantage of some of the stereo pedals i've got. haven't gotten into the midi capabilities of any of them, just looking to be able to switch loops with a stereo out. here's what i've thought of so far and why each idea is less than ideal:

-- stereo pedals after the fourth loop: would need to keep one of them on at all times to maintain stereo signal, and i think i'm switching between sounds too much to have anything always on

-- use one of the stereo outs from one of the pedals to branch off from that pedal's loop, go directly to one of the amp's stereo inputs: see above; there's no pedal i'm always using

-- buy a morningstar setup: seems like i'd need the ML10X and a midi controller, which'd be several hundred dollars

is there a cheaper option?
