April’s beliefs

I actually hate April in season 10 ep. 20. I was finally starting to like her and she had to ruin it with her god-obsession. Why does she have to be right because she is religious? Jackson’s opinions are just as valid (frankly more valid since they are based on science, not religion). I don’t understand American shows obsession with christianity
