Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is Disappointing
I recently bought the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for $110, and I’ve had quite the mixed experience with them. Here’s a breakdown of my impressions so far:
First Impressions:
When I first tried them, I was watching a SpongeBob episode on TikTok. Squidward literally sounded like he was underwater—and not in a good way. It felt immersive, sure, but it also sounded really bad.
Giving It Another Chance:
I decided to test them out on Spotify next, and the sound quality was much better. Music sounded rich and clear, but every now and then, it still had this weird underwater effect. It’s like the sound quality dips at random moments, which is pretty frustrating when you’re just trying to enjoy your music.
Using with Non-Samsung Devices:
Using the Buds 2 Pro on a non-Samsung device feels like your human rights are being violated. You get constant audio distortions, random silence, and giving you 5 secs worth of audio in 1 single second. The connection is buggy, and I get random stutters that completely ruin the listening experience. It’s honestly as bad as using Spotify Free—you’re constantly interrupted, and it’s just not enjoyable.
Final Thoughts:
While the Buds 2 Pro have moments where they shine, especially with music on a Samsung phone, their inconsistency and poor performance on non-Samsung devices make it hard to recommend them for everyone. At $110, they’re a decent deal, but only if you’re fully in the Samsung ecosystem.
