I have a question about Nuka world

(This is my first playthrough of fallout 4)

I recently completed Automotron and moved onto Nuka world im planning on being an undercover raider for the sake of experiencing the story and the loot from Nuka world but when is a good time to turn on the Raiders in got the mission open season from the doctor in the market place but when should I go through with it or am I screwed since the quest locks me out of some things?
