Insurance kills my float training idea

So I asked my insurance guy to look into what it would cost for me to insure a 180 HP Aeronca Sedan to do float and TW training. The kicker, is that I want my students to be able to rent it after they get their SES. It drives me crazy that very few float and even ME schools will let you rent their aircraft after you train them.

So, me: prolly around 11K tt of which 3k is on floats in AK. ATP and lets call it around 750 dual (maybe 150 dual on floats) between CFI, 135 company instructor and 135 check airman.

Plane 100K hull and float value 150K liability, based in AK.

The quote was almost 10K and no solo flight or rentals allowed.

Let say I get a 100 hours of training (which would be on the high end of what I can do since I own a business), that would be an additional $100/hr above my costs and any profit, and not be able to rent or let folks go solo.

I know insurance is high right now, but man, I was thinking it would be more like 4 or 5K.
