Unknowingly stole FAs food!

So, this is a part confession/clarification and a part wanting to apologize story.

I live in the USA. Back in 2019 when my mom passed away from cancer, according to her last wish, we had to hastily take her body back to our homeland for her funeral. So, on the midst of our griefs, we had to find an emergency flight back and forth. We had Kuwait airways flights booked, went to our homeland, finished all the rites and had to fly back immediately. From the airport to airport, we spent total of 4 and a half days (that included two 20 plus hours of flights).

We didn't get a chance whatsoever to process our griefs but coming back, on our flight to USA, (Of course we were beyond exhausted) a bit after the dinner was finished, I went to the restroom and on my way back to my seat, in the galley where they left some snacks for the passangers to take, I saw a single slice of chocolate mousse on that counter. In the flight with me was my almost newly married wife, thinking nothing else of it, I just grabbed it for my wife. She of course was pleasantly surprised.

After a little time later, I went to stretch my leg and two FAs were there talking (they were making sure I heard them) and telling each other "Hey did you know who took my chocolate mousse?"

I was shocked, embarrassed and mortified, realizing what I've done! Right away, I've confessed to her that I didn't realize it wasn't for the passangers and I took it. I apologized to her and even offered her some money or I can buy her some of the best cakes USA has to offer, which she declined.

Its been nearly 5 years now and every time I see a chocolate mousse, or fly, I remember that and feel mortified.

I don't know if by any luck this writing would reach that lady, but, again I apologize to you for that and my offer still stands! Best chocolate mousse that NY has to offer if you would give me a chance to redeem myself.
