Burnt out on XIV, want to start learning Ultimates

Title basically says it all. I’ve been playing XIV casually for the past 2-3 years and am getting super bored of the get on, do dailies, stare at my character for 2 hours, log off loop this game puts you in. The last tier of savage last expac was my first experience with end game content and I loved it, but even that felt short lived in terms of enjoyment. I want to give every type of content a try before I call it quits on the game, and want to give Ultimates a shot! However, I’m totally lost on how to begin. I’ve had a few people tell me to start with UWU, which I have no issue with since they’re my favorite weapons, but I guess I’m confused about a lot of stuff in terms of BiS gearing for older ultimates etc. I feel like I’m starting so late in the game and have no idea where to start! Any advice?

Also I don’t have much in terms of logs to join any sort of static, so I was just going to PF if that changes the advice
