how should i play adriana?

started the game playing 100 hours of adriana building skill amp only to discover that her Q scales with attack power, sometimes i have 176 ATK but when i get into a fight my autos and Q do nothing. i see online builds take ATK and extra normal ATK stats items, some with ATK speed. i don't get enough info on youtube guides (there's barely anything but montages)
