How/when did your eczema start?

I am 28 and have never had eczema before, not even as a baby. About a month ago, I found a few patches that I thought could be weird looking hives on my lower back. Within a week, I had these red patches all over my back, and a few less extreme patches on my arms, legs, and stomach. I haven't been able to get in to see a dermatologist yet, but my GP thinks it might be eczema. I've been moisturizing like crazy, but it hasn't let up much except for easing up some when I took a bleach bath, so I'm paranoid it could be something else/some sort of infection. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has had such a sudden and extreme onset of eczema, or if I should be worried something else is going on.
