Subtitles or no?

Hola mi amigos

Just started and loving it. Newbie question. Doing the SuperBeginner. Most videos auto play without subs. But occasionally some videos auto play with subs enabled.

I assume there is no right or wrong. I would prefer to watch without subs.

But then wondered if they (author) published it with subs enabled on purpose?

Any advice?

EDIT: thanks for the advice. To everyone saying read the FAQ - I did - but was still confused as they key point of my message is that SOME videos AUTOPLAY with subs. This is normally because the content owner has published the video with those defaults. Hence the question to clarify. I will keep them turned off.
