With 2 DMs is 10 people too many?

I know that it's probably way too many people, but I was invited by some friends to join their campaign. It's the only opportunity I've had to play D&D for a long time so I'd really like to join them but if I do that makes 10 whole players. They said they will be having 2 DMs but do you think that will change anything? My friends are all pretty casual players and I know at least 2 people other than me are pretty inexperienced. Edit: as far as I know it's just one group of ten all playing together with 2 DMs. I can try and convince them to just split it into 2 groups of five but I don't know if they will.
