Considering skip lagging to save $4000, any advice?
I live in ATL and plan to go to Chile. The round trip ATL <-> SCL in biz would cost me $8k while EWR <-> SCL (via ATL) only costs less than $4k. So I decided to book an economy from ATL to EWR and then take the round trip, and drop the last lag (ATL -> EWR) of the return flight. But I am stupid enough to link the ticket number to my account and the trip has appeared on my delta app. I've never done skip lagging before.
My question is, is it possible that delta ban me or suspend my account for skip lagging, or force me to pay $4k? If not, what should I do when I land at ATL? should I just go home or let someone know I'm not flying for the last leg? Would delta do something (like rebook or call me) when they find me missing? Thanks for input
