male coworker makes me uncomfortable.

i’m 20/f and the new guy my company just hired is making me and every woman in the building uncomfortable. he’s 27 and has been making unnecessary comments towards me and it makes me extremely weirded out that a man that is almost thirty is hitting on me. he’s also extremely..weird? instead of working, he’ll sit in the break room listening to music IN THE DARK, or he’ll be talking on his phone to god knows who for HOURS. another woman that works in the warehouse with me, went to hr and all they said was ‘maybe he thinks you’re all single’ ?? excuse me?? not to mention, he was literally on a high speed police chase and he can’t have his license and keeps asking women in our department to take him home. one woman that took him home (she quit taking him home) he kept staring at her the whole ride home. i’m uncomfortable working with a criminal and scared to go to work due to the way he acts (i should NOT have to feel this way.) i’m excelling at my job and i don’t want to quit because i have received multiple compliments from supervisors about how good i work and there is talks about how i might get a raise. what should i do? we work in a knife factory and i’m afraid that he’ll end up hurting or hell, even killing one of us. it’s just women in our department (except for him) and it’s extremely worrying. i’m scared he’ll ask me to take him home and when i say no, he’ll get mad and do something. please help.
