I attended the show on 18th, AMA + tips
Tips to make your experience for the 19th and 21st better:
Travel by local train:- It'll be much easier and much faster if you get to the nearest railway station and catch a train to Nerul, which is 25min walk or 10-12ish min by auto from the stadium.
Entry:- Security is lenient. No one is checking for IDs, yours or the primary purchaser's. Body pats are done for men and bags/purses are checked for women. You can bring your own snack bars (don't bring too many). Your wristband mentions the gate you're supposed to enter from, entry is only allowed from that gate.
Try and stick to your designated seats:- Please don't sit in seats that aren't yours. If you find someone already on your seat, ask them to get up, if they refuse, there's always stadium security AND the police deployed in every level of every block, they'll help you get your seat.
Keep away from the railings:- For people in L2 and L3 (not sure about L1), do not crowd near the railings at the front. It ruins the view for the people sitting or even st@nding at their seats. If too many people crowd near the railings, the police will come running along the railing and ensure everyone sits back down.
DO NOT CROWD THE STAIRS:- For the love of God please do not stand at the stairs that are in the middle of every block. I saw a couple of people slip and fall and saw too many people spilling water on each other just because people wouldn't get out of the way. So please, don't crowd the stairs.
Top-up your wristband QRs:- If it's more convenient for you, top up your bands yourself (I didn't). You can also pay cash at the 2nd level of every block and get it topped up. The food and top-up stands are all next to each other.
What to purchase/what not to purchase:- Definitely get a water cup for Rs. 100 (unlimited refills), better to get one cup for multiple people if you're all willing to share. Food prices are inflated as expected. Alcohol prices are HEAVILY inflated. Merch starts from 1k upto 3k.
For ST@ND1NG people:- Get to the stadium at 3 if you want to surround the stage, get interesting and clearly visible text signs if you want them being read out by Chris. There's a smaller stage set up for one song in front of the P block, you can surround that stage early if you want.
Exit post concert:- There's gonna be a stampede the moment the concert is over (should be over by 10, make sure to finish all the money topped up in your QR before 10:30). Do not push people. Cabs are IMPOSSIBLE to find after the concert. I'd recommend travelling by local train again, but you'd have to walk like 80% of the way to Nerul station (25min walk)
If there's anything else you wish to ask, let me know and I'll reply to it the best I can.
MOST IMPORTANTLY:- Have fun!
