In the exchange Caro-Kann, can you kinda pretend you're playing a Queen's Gambit?
I've always struggled to find a line that I particularly like against the Caro.
But the exchange followed by c4 comes close as it almost feels like a Queen's Gambit, which was one of the first openings that I learned.
Is that a fair way to look at it, or does the missing e pawn make a huge difference?
