CMV: Personhood must be connected to humanity

Personhood and humanity are one and the same in any meaningful way. That is to say, all humans are people and all people are humans. Anything else, I feel is just an unnecessary over complication either for the purposes of disingenuously presenting a definition which is convenient to their views or it’s something they sincerely belief but it is dehumanizing a population.

I can’t think of single time when personhood and humanity have been separated for a beneficial reason it can think of countless time it’s been used to justify genocide, slavery, experimentation and other dreadful acts.

Essentially, personhood vs. humanity will always lead to a discussion about semantics and contradictions when (at least in most developed countries) we understand what a person is and that is a human
