Cat pee

Wasn’t sure what flare to use. I rescued a bonded pair about four months ago. 3 months old male, female. Vaxed & fixed. They’re spunky and so fun. We brought them into our home with our 3 year old Tuxedo. Everything is going great. My rescued male has been peeing on/ in things. It’s not every day, or weekly, it’s so random. There’s been four accidents. Puddles of pee. It’s been an empty laundry basket, a pack and play, my bathroom floor mats, and the baby play pen. For each instance I couldn’t tell you if the litter box was ready for a change but I know today, the play pen, it needs to be scooped and changed. I do poop daily & a litter cycle every week. (Purina tidy cat box breeze) Is this just his communication that the box is too dirty for him? Because of the infrequency I don’t think it’s a uti but again, I’m not sure. At what point should I go to the vet? Neither of my other cats are urinating/ out of the ordinary.
