My cat was run over today

I have no way to express how I feel. It is such a void. We live on a quiet street and this is the most unexpected thing. I was working and a neighbour came up to my patio door and asked if it was my cat on the side of the road and I went to check and there she was, cold and limp. It looked like she was hit and then dragged by the collar to the side of the road. Part of me wants to know who did this but also part of me doesn’t know what it would accomplish. I can’t believe people can just run over a cat and not try to report it and just leave it there.

I cried and screamed on the road, I was panicking and experiencing so much grief. I feel so empty inside, I can’t believe this just happened to me. I loved her so much
